Alabama baseball began its preparations for the 2026 season with its first organized team practice at Sewell-Thomas Stadium on Tuesday. The session included drills, simulated pre-game activities, and instruction as the team readies for its opener scheduled for February 13, 2026.
Head coach Rob Vaughn expressed enthusiasm about the start of the new campaign. “I’m fired up to be back,” Vaughn said. “The guys look like they’re in a pretty good spot, and we’ll find out pretty quick, but the guys put in the work this offseason and we’re ready to go.”
The Crimson Tide will continue practices on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Central Time. These sessions are open to the public without charge. Fans can enter through Gate 3 behind home plate, with access limited to the lower bowl seating area while upper levels remain off-limits.
Practice times may change or be canceled due to weather conditions. Updates will be available on X/Twitter (@AlabamaBSB) or via Alabama baseball’s Facebook page.
