Alabama’s baseball team saw four of its players earn recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Southeast Region team, as announced on Tuesday. Justin Lebron, Carson Ozmer, and Kade Snell received first-team honors, while Riley Quick was named to the second team.
This marks a notable achievement for Alabama, with these selections contributing to a total of 10 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors over the past five years. The last time Alabama had this many honorees was in 2002.
Justin Lebron, who played shortstop, started all 59 games as a sophomore and achieved several accolades including Second Team All-SEC honors and his second consecutive SEC All-Defensive Team accolade. He also stood out with a batting average of .316 and led all SEC players with 72 RBIs.
Carson Ozmer served as the team’s closer and made significant contributions by appearing in a team-high 29 games. He converted a program record of 17 saves, which is the highest number by any player in Division I this season. His performance earned him First Team All-SEC selection.
Kade Snell was recognized for his role as an everyday left fielder for Alabama. He led the team in batting average (.363), hits (77), and on-base percentage (.464). His performance placed him fourth among SEC hitters in terms of batting average.
Riley Quick returned from Tommy John surgery to make 14 starts on the mound this season. His efforts resulted in Second Team All-SEC accolades. Quick led all Alabama pitchers with 70 strikeouts over 62 innings pitched.
These achievements highlight the talent present within Alabama’s baseball program as they continue to produce top-performing athletes.
