Alabama baseball to face No. 12 Southern Miss in first ranked test of season

Alabama’s baseball team is set to play against the 12th-ranked Southern Miss on Tuesday, February 24. This midweek game will take place at Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and marks Alabama’s first matchup with a ranked opponent this season.

The contest also represents Alabama’s return to Southern Miss after being eliminated by the Golden Eagles during last season’s Hattiesburg Regional.

Tuesday’s pitching matchup features right-handed pitcher JT Blackwood for Alabama and right-handed pitcher Dylan Causey for Southern Miss.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Central Time. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
