Alabama’s baseball team saw three of its players receive significant recognition as Justin Lebron, Carson Ozmer, and Kade Snell were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Second Team All-Americans. The announcement was made on Friday.
For Justin Lebron, this honor marks his third All-American award of the offseason. Previously, he was named a Third Team All-American by Perfect Game USA and the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). This latest accolade is the sixth All-American recognition in his career at Alabama. As a sophomore shortstop, Lebron started all 59 games and achieved impressive statistics including a .316 batting average with 18 home runs and 72 RBIs. His performance earned him Second Team All-SEC honors and a spot on the SEC All-Defensive Team.
Carson Ozmer received his second All-American acknowledgment following his First Team recognition from NCBWA earlier in the week. Serving as Alabama’s closer, Ozmer set a program record with 17 saves across 29 appearances while maintaining a 3.29 ERA. His ability to keep opponents at bay was highlighted by holding them to a .193 batting average.
Kade Snell’s inclusion on the Second Team marks his first career All-American commendation. As Alabama’s everyday left fielder, Snell played in 58 of 59 games and led the team with a .363 batting average along with notable contributions in hits and on-base percentage. His consistent performance included reaching base in 53 out of his 58 games during the season.
All three athletes were also recognized as ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Southeast Region selections earlier this month.
