The University of Alabama football program hosted its annual Pro Day on Mar. 25, with 19 draft-eligible Crimson Tide athletes participating in front of representatives from all 32 National Football League teams.
Pro Day is an important event for players hoping to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. It allows athletes to demonstrate their skills and physical abilities directly to professional scouts and coaches.
The participants included Germie Bernard, Parker Brailsford, Josh Cuevas, Brody Dalton, Kam Dewberry, Blake Doud, Nikhai Hill-Green, Domani Jackson, Justin Jefferson, DaShawn Jones, Tim Keenan III, Deontae Lawson, Jam Miller, LT Overton, Kadyn Proctor, Jaeden Roberts, Ty Simpson, Geno VanDeMark and Dre Washington. The event began at 10 a.m. Central Time with height and weight measurements taken before moving on to the vertical jump and bench press inside the Bill Battle Athletic Performance Center. Athletes then completed the broad jump and 40-yard dash along with agility drills and position-specific exercises under the roof of the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. Coverage will be available on major networks including NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
As these players prepare for the next step in their careers at the professional level, Pro Day offers them a chance to make an impression ahead of one of football’s most anticipated events.
