The Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Corvallis, Oregon, for the 2026 NCAA Regional Championships, according to a March 23 announcement from the NCAA during the Gymnastics Selection Show.

Alabama enters the competition as the No. 2 seed in its regional, with UCLA holding the top seed. The Crimson Tide is joined by other ranked programs in its nine-team regional field: No. 4 UCLA, No. 12 Utah, and No. 13 Minnesota.

San José State and Washington are scheduled to compete on Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. Central Time for a spot in Friday’s second four-team session. On Friday, April 3, Alabama will face Utah, Denver, and host school Oregon State in the first session beginning at 3 p.m., while UCLA will compete against Minnesota, Iowa and either San José State or Washington in a later session starting at 9 p.m.

After a rest day on Saturday, April 4, the top two teams from each of Friday’s sessions will advance to Sunday’s regional final at 7 p.m., where they will vie for one of two spots available for nationals qualification. Individual all-around competitors and event specialists from Ball State, Central Michigan, Clemson, New Hampshire, Northern Illinois, Rutgers, Southeast Missouri State and Western Michigan are also set to participate with hopes of advancing to nationals.

According to Alabama athletics officials in their release: “Alabama has competed in the regional round of the NCAA Championships every year since its inception in 1982 outside of the postseason cancellation due to COVID-19.” The program holds a total of thirty-two NCAA regional titles.

The upcoming meet marks only Alabama’s second meeting this season with Oregon State; earlier this year Alabama won that contest by a score of 197.450-195.825. In addition,”UA will meet two of its first-round semifinal opponents for the first time this season – Denver [and] Utah.” Last year saw Alabama finish second in their home Tuscaloosa Regional which secured their fortieth appearance at an NCAA Championship.
