Alabama will participate in the Maridoe Collegiate golf tournament from March 30-31 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, according to a March 29 announcement. The event is hosted by North Texas and marks Alabama’s second consecutive appearance at this tournament.
The competition is notable as it features several nationally ranked teams, including No. 16 Alabama, No. 9 Arizona State, No. 15 Oklahoma, and No. 7 Oklahoma State among others. This provides an opportunity for Alabama to test its skills against strong opponents.
Last year at the same event, Nick Gross and Jonathan Griz led Alabama with top-15 individual finishes and are set to return to the lineup this year. The starting lineup for Alabama includes William Jennings, Jonathan Griz, Brycen Jones, Connor Brown, and Nick Gross. Jack Mitchell will also compete as an individual participant.
The course will play as a par-72 with yardages of 7,569 on Monday and 7,501 on Tuesday. Tee times will be posted when available.
As the season progresses into spring tournaments like the Maridoe Collegiate, teams use these events both for national rankings and preparation ahead of postseason play.
