Alabama men’s golf to compete in Mossy Oak Collegiate on April 13-14

The University of Alabama men’s golf team, ranked No. 17 nationally, will conclude its regular season at the Mossy Oak Collegiate tournament beginning April 13 in West Point, Mississippi.

The event is a two-day, 54-hole competition that starts with 36 holes on Monday and finishes with an additional 18 holes on Tuesday at the Mossy Oak Golf Club. The course is set up as a par-72 layout spanning 7,212 yards.

Alabama last participated in this tournament in 2023 and finished sixth with a score of 20-under par. Jonathan Griz, who competed as an individual during that appearance and placed sixth overall, returns to the lineup for this year’s event.

The Crimson Tide’s starting lineup for the tournament includes William Jennings, Jonathan Griz, Brycen Jones, Connor Brown, and Nick Gross. Jack Mitchell will also compete as an individual participant.

Other teams competing at Mossy Oak include Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, North Texas, No. 13 Ole Miss (according to GCAA preseason poll), Rice, Sam Houston State University (Sam Houston), South Alabama, Southern Mississippi (Southern Miss), Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Troy University (Troy), and No. 11 Vanderbilt.

Final results from this tournament will mark the end of Alabama’s regular season schedule before postseason play begins.
