Employers in Tuscaloosa Leader publication area filed 47 H-1B petitions throughout 2024

Employers based in the Tuscaloosa Leader publication area submitted 47 H-1B petitions during 2024, according to data provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub. Of these, 45 were approved (95.7%), while two were denied (4.3%).

Employers are classified under industries based on their reported operations and may be involved in multiple industries.

Meanwhile, the Manufacturing industry was the second largest contributor, filing 10 petitions (21.3% of the total), with an approval rate of 100%.

The Tuscaloosa Leader publication area employers with the most petitions during 2024 included Infodrive Systems, Inc., which filed 18 petitions with an approval rate of 94.4%, GPS It Solutions, LLC with seven petitions and an approval rate of 100%, and SMP Automotive Systems Alabama, Inc., which filed five petitions with an approval rate of 100%.

Compared to 2023, the Tuscaloosa Leader publication area saw a 17.5% decrease in the number of H-1B petitions during 2024.
