Five former Alabama men’s golf team members are set to compete in the Rocket Classic, which will be held from June 26 to 29 at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. Among them is Dominic Clemons, who played for the Crimson Tide last year and earned an exemption into this PGA TOUR event by winning the Folds of Honor Collegiate in September.

The other Alabama alumni participating include Nick Dunlap, Trey Mullinax, Lee Hodges, and Davis Riley. All five have previous experience with strong performances on tour or at this tournament.

Nick Dunlap returns after a top-10 finish at last year’s Rocket Classic. He has made the cut in ten out of seventeen events this season and previously finished tied for tenth with a score of 14-under par 274 in 2024. Trey Mullinax is entering his fourteenth PGA TOUR event of the season and achieved a career-best finish of 10-under par 278 at this event in 2022. Mullinax also ranks ninth on tour this season for driving distance with an average of 305.5 yards.

Lee Hodges is also playing his fourteenth PGA TOUR event of the year and recently secured a ninth-place finish at the RBC Canadian Open—his third top-10 result this season. He currently holds No. 90 in the FedEx Cup standings and No. 104 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).

Davis Riley leads all former Alabama golfers with twenty starts this season. His record includes one runner-up finish at the PGA Championship, three top-ten results, and four top-twenty finishes among twelve cuts made. Riley’s best performance at Detroit Golf Club was a 12-under par 276 last year; he enters play ranked No. 52 in FedEx Cup points and No. 59 in OWGR.

Dominic Clemons will make his PGA TOUR debut after receiving an invitation by virtue of his medalist honor at the Folds of Honor Collegiate last September. Clemons, from Cambridge, England, won the Scottish Men’s Open and reached the championship match of last year’s Amateur Championship (British Amateur).

The Rocket Classic offers a purse of $9.6 million with $1.728 million awarded to the winner.

Television coverage will be provided across ESPN+, Golf Channel, and CBS during all four days of competition.

The Alabama qualified participants are scheduled as follows: Trey Mullinax tees off first round at 6:07 a.m., Lee Hodges at 6:29 a.m., Nick Dunlap at 6:51 a.m., Dominic Clemons at 7:57 a.m., and Davis Riley at 12:05 p.m.—all Central Time.
