On Friday, Feb. 14, former Tuscaloosa Academy standout Jordan Evans’ current college team, the Mississippi Choctaws, lost 4-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the West Alabama Tigers.
The game took place at Frierson Field. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.
The Choctaws’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. at Frierson Field against West Alabama Tigers.
Alabama cross country athlete Cynthia Jemutai has been named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Women’s Freshman of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office on Tuesday.
