Sophomore Doris Lemngole has been named the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women’s Track and Field Academic All-America Team Member of the Year, according to an announcement from the organization on Tuesday. Lemngole and fellow student-athlete Megan Albamonti both received Academic All-America honors.
Lemngole was recognized as a CSC First Team Academic All-American, while Albamonti earned third-team recognition. Both athletes maintained a 4.00 GPA, with Lemngole majoring in sport management and Albamonti pursuing post-baccalaureate studies.
The CSC Men’s Track and Field Academic All-America list will be released at a later date.
According to the university, this is the first time either Lemngole or Albamonti has received CSC Academic All-America honors. Both represented Alabama at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Lemngole achieved First Team All-America status for her performance in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, where she defended her title and secured her third national championship during the 2024-25 season. Albamonti earned Second Team All-America honors in the women’s javelin.
“Doris Lemngole was named the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women’s Track and Field Academic All-America Team Member of the Year,” stated the release from Alabama Athletics.
“In addition to being named the Team Member of the Year, Lemngole was selected as a CSC First Team Academic All-American, while Albamonti earned third-team accolades. Both student-athletes maintained a 4.00 GPA, with Lemngole studying sport management and Albamonti continuing her academics through a post-baccalaureate,” continued Alabama Athletics.
“The announcement marks the first CSC Academic All-America accolades of their respective careers,” according to Alabama Athletics.
“Both student-athletes represented the Crimson Tide at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships,” said Alabama Athletics.
“Lemngole notched First Team All-America honors for her historic performance in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, defending her title and capturing her third national crown during the 2024-25 season,” stated Alabama Athletics.
“Albamonti garnered Second Team All-America honors in the women’s javelin,” according to Alabama Athletics.
