Seven athletes from the University of Alabama’s track and field program have received All-SEC honors following their performances at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Indoor Championships, according to an announcement by the league office on Tuesday.

The recognition is based on podium finishes at the SEC Championships, with first-place finishers named to the first team, second-place finishers to the second team, and third-place finishers to the third team.

Doris Lemngole was awarded first-team honors after defending her title in the women’s 3,000-meter event. She set a facility record with a time of 8:45.90. This win makes her the first Crimson Tide athlete to secure back-to-back victories in this event at the SEC women’s indoor championships.

Samuel Ogazi also earned first-team recognition by running a facility-record 44.72 seconds in the 400 meters. His performance broke a 15-year-old school record and set a new African national record for the short-track 400 meters.

Katelyn Adel received second-team honors after finishing second in the pentathlon with a school-record total of 4,312 points. Her score is currently Switzerland’s national season-leading mark and represents her second consecutive runner-up finish at conference meets—she previously finished second in both the 2025 outdoor heptathlon and now in this year’s indoor pentathlon.

Dismus Lokira joined Adel on the second team after taking silver in the men’s 5,000 meters with a time of 13:36.33.

Three athletes were recognized as third-team honorees. Miracle Ailes took bronze in the pentathlon with a total of 4,295 points, which ranks her No. 2 all-time at Alabama. Caren Kiplagat finished third in her debut indoor season in the women’s 5,000 meters with a time of 15:12.56, also moving to No. 2 all-time at UA for that event. John Landers secured his first career conference medal by finishing third in the heptathlon with a total of 5,588 points; his result contributed to three podium finishes for Alabama’s multis group.

“The victory marked the first time a Crimson Tide student-athlete has won the SEC women’s indoor 3,000 meters in back-to-back seasons,” according to official statements from Alabama Athletics staff.
