Tuscaloosa City School District issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.

During the next few months, the Tuscaloosa County School System will be participating in the Continuous Improvement Process.  This process is intended to help schools and school systems identify strengths, identify ways to improve, and set goals based on data and feedback from stakeholders. 

As one part of this process, TCSS asks our stakeholders to provide feedback through surveys. Please find the survey or surveys below that pertain to you as a TCSS stakeholder, whether you are a student, parent/guardian, or faculty/staff member. The surveys are short and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.   Please complete the surveys that pertain to you by Friday, September 11, 2020.

Description of TCSS Surveys

Culture and Climate Survey: This survey is for students in grades 3-12, faculty/staff, and parents/guardians. This survey asks students to describe different aspects of their school experience.  It asks faculty/staff to describe different aspects of their work environment at school.  It asks parents/guardians to describe different aspects of their and their student's experience with school. 

Student Engagement Survey: This survey is for students in grades 3-12. This survey asks students their opinions about their school, including their teachers, administrators, their peers, and other aspects of their experiences at school. 

Inventory Survey: This survey is for students in grades 3-12 and teachers. This survey asks about the frequency with which students engage in various tasks and activities at school.  It also asks about the frequency with which teachers engage in a variety of effective classroom and school practices.
