It's 2023! Have you written your New Year's resolutions list yet? Common resolutions are usually focused on health and wellness, which can seem like a tall task for some. Sheena Gregg, assistant director of the department of health promotion and wellness and a registered dietitian, offers five tips to keep in mind when creating your 2023 resolutions
-Be S.M.A.R.T: set Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound goals.
-Be flexible: consider setting goals that allow you to evaluate your current progress.
-Be creative: think outside of the box when it comes to creating health-focused resolutions.
-Be open: ask close friends or a professional for input on goals they believe would be helpful to you in the new year.
-Be positive: create optimistic goals that will likely yield more consistency.
