6.9% of Hale County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Hale County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 405 people out of the 14,819 living in Hale County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Hale County has decreased compared to the 9.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Hale County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.4%.

Of the 5,460 people who had a job during that time, 39 were employed in the Armed Forces and 5,421 belonged to the civilian labor force.
