There were two gas stations in cities across Tuscaloosa County selling diesel at the lowest price of $3.09 per gallon in the week ending Dec. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
The average reported cost of diesel in cities within Tuscaloosa County was $3.25 per gallon.
Of the 162 reported gas stations in cities within Tuscaloosa County, 23 offer diesel.
The $3.29 average reported price of diesel in Alabama was unchanged from the previous week.
Drivers across the U.S. have faced a rollercoaster of gas prices in recent months and years. Though the cost of a gallon of gas is dropping, experts suggest they may rise to $4 before the end of 2024.
